XDMCP
The X Display Manager Control Protocol (XDMCP) is a protocol that many Unix systems use to remotely execute and view applications.
Tip
Using XDMCP is inherently insecure; therefore, most of the Unix distributions shipped have XDMCP turned off by default. Use XDMCP only in a trusted network.
XDMCP uses UDP port 177 to negotiate X sessions using a TCP port. The X manager communicates with the X server over TCP port 6000 + n (n = negotiated port).
Cisco ASA supports the translation and inspection of XDMCP sessions with the inspect xdmcp command.
